my Hawaiian 5 and 10- cent coins dated 1881 and 1883

2 posts in this topic

I have a few Hawaiian coins. I'm not sure how much they're worth and how to go about selling them. Could someone help me please? I have two 1881 5-cent coins, and one 1883 10-cent coin. One of the 1881 5-cent coins has been cut or damaged. I'm not sure how or when but it was before I discovered the coins when an old piggybank of mine broke during my recent move. Here are some pictures of my coins. Thanks, John

The Hawaiian 1881 5C coin is a classic rarity and worth many $$$$$. However, there were many, many counterfeits made over the years. The counterfeit coin has a little nob, instead of a cross, over the crown in the reverse. The 1883 10C coins is quite common in low grade, in the $10-$15 range.
