Are the very rare coins shopped around for grading?

With the certification of this 1974 licoln cent it makes me wonder about something. Are very rare coins such as this or such as the king of Siam set shopped around when it has been decided to grade them? Is is normal for the services to actually PAY to certify such coins? 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

Well you have to figure that the TPG will get noticed more if it grades a rare coin especially a uniquie piece,I'm sure David Hall would pay wink.gif
