I have a silver coin that I have been all over the internet trying to find out where it is from and some sort close value it is size of a fifty cent piece on one side has 5 heads each in there own circle each head has a date with it and a name.in the middle of the circle of heads is an upside down cross and a crown on top of it .

On other side is a map of either asia or europe with what looks like columbuse ship at the bottom it has 30 triangle P and there is other writing around other side that makes no sense to me.Maybe you can hep me Oh also it says 1863 to 1963

Sounds like a Greek 1963 30 drachmai, commemorating the centenary of the

Royal Dynasty. The map on the reverse is the map of Greece. KM86

obverse clockwise from right, King Paul, King George II,King Alexander, King Constantine I, King George I.

Value from $3 in VF to $12 in BU, the triangle is a Delta and the P is an R in the Greek alphabet, here as a 2 letter abbreviation of DRACHMAI .

You're welcome. This coin reminds me of my tender youth. cloud9.gif I could buy a lot of things with this coin, it seemed and was a lot of money back then, when an ice cream cost one drachmi and a cinema ticket only five. The coin was equivalent to one US dollar ,and although it was intended as a silver commemorative, due to its immense popularity it was quickly released to circulation .But of course, it's been hoarded so it's almost impossible to locate it in grades below VF and it never achieved a decent collectable value. sorry.gif
