1855 Seated Half Dollar with Double 8

Is this a common error on seated half dollars? It's an 1855 and the 8 is severely doubled. It can be seen above the 8 and in both loops. Unfortunately... it's a "holed" coin (not that there's anything wrong with that!).

I wasn't focusing on the right part of the coin. I do the same with Morgan VAMs.

 

Turns out that it's an 1855/4. I thought the line in the second five was just a die scratch. Too bad about that hole.... it would have been worth more.

That's a very nice pickup and a fantastic set of images. Regarding any Breen estimation of rarity, I would take it to be a WAG and look for better information.
