Got this 1940 proof set as a 15th birthday present in 1955.

Has been in several Capital holders and I asked if NGC would do older sets.

They do.

Wish I could photograph the coins. Think photoing a coin is tough in a slab? FIVE is impossible. At least for me.

Decent image of glare and reflections though.

It's awesome to see a set like that stay together.........looks like all the grades are decent except for the dime

The dime LOOKS better than the quarter. But whadda I know? I useta have eyes an a brain but now with slabs I need neither.
