Popular Post GoldFinger1969
I didn't know him like some of you except via these forums. Thank God I had at least that to converse with him over the years and share our mutual love of coins and exchange knowledge. He was very cordial and respectful of a relative novice like myself. Condolences to his family at home and his family at NGC. World Colonial, Hoghead515, dena and 1 other

Popular Post Walkerfan
David and I exchanged quite a few PMs, over the years, and he was always so kind and generous with his time. Besides his vast degree of knowledge and passion for numismatics, what I remember most about David was he was ALWAYS willing to help and contribute. Every single picture I've ever seen of him, he always had a big smile on his face. That's just the type of guy that he was. This is heart-breaking. Popular Post VKurtB
Just as the world did when William F. Buckley died, the hobby at large has gotten measurably dumber with the loss of David Lange. People like him are never quite replaced adequately. It will take some time for the hobby at large to recover from his passing. Many people will need to up their game in order to fill this void. zadok, Sandon, dena and 2 others 4

EarlyUS.com
I am pretty devastated by this news which I just heard yesterday. I had met David in person several times and did not make an adequate effort to enjoy a conversation with him in recent years. This is a substantial loss to the numismatic community. Popular Post RWB
After working with David on multiple projects over the past 20 years, it’s difficult to put into coherent form the appreciation and lasting importance of his career. He was a complex individual – much more so than can be described in any brief remembrance. Maybe – after some time – a suitable tribute can be written….but not now: the loss to us all is too fresh. rrantique, LISA B, GoldFinger1969 and 3 others 3 1
