1999 Delaware Quarter on Experimental Planchet

5 posts in this topic

I've heard various stories of state quarters having the new satin finish on either the obverse, reverse or even both sides. Is that what you mean?

Does anyone know of the Delaware Quarter that was struck on the experimental planchets ? If so please email me at Nizamel02@aol.com . I am 95% sure I have one of these coins. One difference being is that it was minted in Denver not Philidelpia. Thanks

Sorry, you'll have to be a little more specific in detail. Since Philadelphia and Denver both produce States Quarters, you haven't given me anything to go on. What is so unusual about the planchet?

The ones that I have heard of are struck on brass-type planchets likely intended for the Sacagaweas.
