Theirs a guy in Vermont who has some of the 1950's proof sets but he wants alot for them but I think I will just keep an eye out elsewhere. Most of the value is in the half dollars. Yea that 1950 proof Franklin is a tough one. The 51 and 52 are also but not as expensive as the 50. They are still pretty pricey though. Most of the value is in the half dollars. FWIW... I distinctly remember purchasing a 1952 proof set for $60. and a 1954 for $30. which, believe it or not, were no bargains at that time. With the usual disclaimer about ALL price guides, I have one sitting on the side table where I’m sitting, the most recent Numismatic News monthly. The 1952 shows $230 and the 1954 shows $100. I always check them out on GC each week and those 3 years always go for big money. Espically the 50.
