I was very puzzled because the NGC pricing tool gives very high values (more than 1.500$) for veiled victoria siovereigns minted in Australia with grades of XF or VF

However I have asked many dealers and they seem to concur that the value is close to melt value. Is it possible that there is some error?

A quick look at ebay offerings shows they cluster around $700. Melt is about $400.
