That’s quite a white obverse! These babies tend to tone in the Coin & Currency package.

I noticed that. The reverse is light golden colored and the obverse is blast white. The half dollar is starting to tone around the rim as well.

@Lem E--Your 1955-D/S isn't bad, as you can see the whole top curve of the "S" above and to the left of the "D". I've seen some certified pieces on which all you can see is a vague curved line at the upper left of the "D", which isn't necessarily the remnant of an "S". The coin whose photos I posted was only designated "D over S" by ANACS but is clearly the "Redbook" variety, a.k.a. FS-501, which also shows much of the lower curve of the "S" inside the "D".
