Melior Invenidiste
I noticed in the 1736 crown coins the dots around the legend are all the same, a smaller separation of space between the .I I. And a period after the I I. However in this coin the period is above the crown of the king’s head as in the 1735 version of the crown. Is this unusual? Melior Invenidiste
First we have a normal 1736 period after I I. Next we have the specimen 1736 period above head of bust as in the 1735 crown.

physics-fan3.14
Do you have a copy of Spink? There are many, many variations on coins of this era, as each die was handmade. Letter position, dot position, etc, will vary from die to die, not to mention year to year. ldhair
