Atlanta USPS Hang Ups 0

Hello,

Has anyone else in the Atlanta area been having difficulties with inbound registered mail packages getting stuck on “Departed USPS Facility” status once they arrive here? My last two submissions have gotten stuck this way - the first eventually arrived after NGC filed a claim, and the second is currently stuck as we speak (16 days and counting).

NGC - is there a way to send coins to the Sarasota facility via UPS or FedEx? I don’t trust USPS to handle the journey anymore.

Thank you.  Yes, you can ship to us by FED-X or UPS.  You would send it to,

If you wish to have your packages shipped back by UPS, or FED-X you would need to have your own account with them and provide your own insurance.

@LISA B Would it be possible for NGC to file a trace or claim for my stuck package? I filed a missing mail request, but these things tend to get moving again once NGC takes action.

Hi NGC - this issue is still unresolved after 2 full months of waiting. If Registered Mail is no longer a trustworthy way to conduct return shipments, I suggest NGC reconsider its default carrier.

The Claims department has filed a claim for this and essentially told me to wait via a boilerplate message unspecific to my situation. Very disappointed in having paid the grading fees and trusted NGC with the custody of my items to then have them held in limbo for months with no information.

I understand that the USPS is having issues and that NGC is having capacity issues as well. I simply wish for my property to be returned to me so that I can enjoy the service I paid for.

I had trouble with USPS registered mail. Often it would arrive in Charlotte and sit there for 5-10 days! I switched to UPS Ground and it takes 3-4 days from time  NGC ships to reach Raleigh NC. I often ship to NGC via USPS Priority Express (1 day) for high value packages, but have also had fast arrival using USPS 2-3 day Priority Mail. My problem was with registered mail and UPS Ground took care of that! Make sure you specify GROUND or NGC may ship Air which is much more expensive!

My package is still with USPS going on ~80 days now. Truly unprecedented in terms of delays.

This is resolved. My local post office has had it in their safe for the last few months.

After studying the tracking pattern for successfully delivered mail, I deduced it was not in the distro center afterall but likely at the main PO for my area. I went there and asked them to check the cage / safe. Voila.
