Hi, Brett.

There has been much discussion at NGC about the dissolution of the Canadian NGC Registry sets over the years (as a result of the massive increase in production from the RCM over recent years.) We have recently aligned the Canada sets according to how our graders recognize a coin. If a Canadian coin is under "COMMEMORATIVE" in the NGC census, then it goes into the NGC Registry under commemorative. If a coin is listed in the census under "BULLION," then we will add the coin to the Bullion part of the NGC Registry. This Maple Leaf coin from the fractional set, 2023 Maple Leaf 35th Anniversary, is considered bullion. This coin may be added here:

Category: Canada - Bullion
Set Name: Silver Maple Leaf Fractional Set, 2023, Reverse Proof

Thank you.

Hi Ali,

No. I was asking when this set will be broken down into sets that don't have the £2 and £5 and £10 and kilo.....all in the same set. Just like the "Queen's Beasts" sets that are there now. I asked once before at the beginning of 2022 and you said it was coming but never gave a date on the reformat.

Thank you,

Brett

Hello, Brett.

There are a few issues and graded examples of the following denominations now, so we can create these TB denomination sets thus far:

S2PND PF set
5PND MS set
S10PND MS and PF set

Thanks, and have a good day!

Hi Ali,

Thank you very much for letting me know about this. I will admit, however, I'm not sure I completely understand it. The coin that I asked to be added and the one you referenced in your note is "commemorating" the 35th year of the Maple Leaf coin. Which I would think was then a Commemorative Issue coin. I don't know. Just thinking out loud I guess.

I do hope you don't get frustrated with me in the future if I ask for a new slot in the wrong set. Maybe this will make more sense to me over time.

Thanks for your help,

Brett

Hi Ali,

I wasn't sure where to go for this issue, hope going through here is alright.

My "Control Panel" has been down for a few days. It keeps saying this:

Hello can you do two things for the First Spouse Bronze Medal set -  put the Edith Wilson coin in the correct sequence?  It currently #38 and should be #30.  Second, please add the error mule for Abigail Adams (reverse of Louisa Adams) at position #3   Rationale: Just as the ASE set isn't complete without the 2008 with reverse of a 2007 this set isn't complete without this major recognized error coin added.  Thank you

HHi, Justin.

Mint error coins, due to their unique nature, are not eligible for competitive NGC Registry sets. You may enter it into a Custom NGC Registry set, if you wish. Thank you.

Hello, and thanks for your interest. We have moved the slot. Thanks for letting us know. As a general rule, mint error coins are not eligible in competitive NGC Registry sets. (The exception is the US Presidential Dollar edge-lettering errors which have their own sets.) You may add your coin to a Custom NGC Registry set, if you wish.

Hi Ali,

I'd like to propose a few new slots in the India - British Colony -> Madras Presidency set: https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/competitive/india/india-british-colony/6325/

This is a type set but the current slots are all based on the value of the coins. For the time range the set covers, there are actually more than one major type for some of the values.

For example 10CASH is the existing slot but if going by type there should really be two different ones. Can the existing slot be split to account for the different types so that I can display both types?

10CASH:

If possible to rename slots, I suggest rename existing slot to: 10CASH - 1808   (example 2077028-056)  - all sets except mine seem to be using this type so this matches the existing slot best.

Plus a suggested new slot 10CASH - (1807)     (example 2855174-004)

In my proposed names I use the date in parenthesis for types without actual dates on them similar to the NGC label convention. I'm not sure if this matches other registry set format.

A similar situation exists for 20CASH and 2FANAM.

20CASH:

(suggest rename existing slot to) 20CASH - 1808   (example 5952409-021 -not mine)

(suggested new slot) 20CASH - (1807)     (example 2855174-005)

2FANAM:

(suggest rename existing slot to)  2FANAMS - (1808)        (example 2861367-005)

(suggested new slot)     2FANAMS - (1807)       (example 2861367-002)

Even if the existing slots can't be renamed, can the new slots can be created and my coins moved into them? I would love to see this even if some slots are marked non-competitive.

Regards,

Jay

Hello, Jay.

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback. We appreciate it. Right now, our team is focusing on a high level of demand for new slots and new sets for coins that currently have no representation in existing competitive NGC Registry sets. We will add your request to the pending list of requests for updates to existing NGC sets. We process those in the order they are received. You will receive an email when the team has made a decision. Thanks for your patience.

Hi again,

Sorry, I was going to give you some background on this coin.

It obviously is the "1987 Wildlife Fund" that is already in the set. But for whatever reason NGC named it "Pink Pigeon" and now the system will not allow me to enter it as the "Wildlife Fund" coin. I have already sent it in once for a label correction because they had it labeled as a 5 pound coin, not 2 pound. So I do not want to send it in for a second time, well actually a third time.

Thanks again,

Brett

Dear Ali

Good Day

Please find attached a picture of the slab India 1/4 Rupee 1877 B1 type but unfortunately I am unable to add this coin to my following set India 1/4 Rupee 1835-1947 circulation set including variety ( Screen Shot attached). Can you please help me add this coin to this slot as the NGC slab clearly mentions B1 type but the SW number isn’t mentioned.

Hello Ali.

Please add several new slots to the following Competitive Registry set.

Competitive Registry Set:

     Coin Slot:

20 Centavos - 3rd Bust (NON-COMPETITIVE; FOR DISPLAY ONLY)

Coin Slot Example:

NGC #2850035-005 (MS 64 BN).  Based on the NGC Census, I was not able to see any other graded examples to include this coin.  It could be that it has yet to be mapped to a slot. Assuming it is the only specimen, therefore can you add a slot that is marked "Non-Competitive"?

     Coin Slot:

10 Centavos – 6th Bust – C/S “GV” (NON-COMPETITIVE; FOR DISPLAY ONLY)

Coin Slot Example:

NGC #2850035-001 (VF DETAILS).  Based on the NGC Census, I was not able to see any other graded examples to include this coin.  There is one other with a “7th Bust”, but not one with a “6th Bust”. It could be that it has yet to be mapped to a slot.  Assuming it is the only specimen, therefore can you add a slot that is marked "Non-Competitive"?

   Coin Slot:

20 Centavos – 6th Bust – Liberty Cap C/S (NON-COMPETITIVE; FOR DISPLAY ONLY)

Coin Slot Example:

NGC #2850035-004 (VF DETAILS).  Based on the NGC Census, I was not able to see any other graded examples to include this coin.  There is one other C/S with a “4th Bust”, but not one with a “6th Bust”. It could be that it has yet to be mapped to a slot. Assuming it is the only specimen, therefore can you add a slot that is marked "Non-Competitive"?

Thanks for your time and consideration.

Hello Ali.

The following Registry set for Mexico has 3 entries with a coin score of zero.  Can you please review and update these entries to have a score?  These coins may be scarce, but they were regular issues and should not be listed as non-competitive, hence a zero score.

The Registry set in question is as follows:

The coin entries are as follows:

1876CN P MEXICO 25C (coin example #2885093-008)

1878DO B MEXICO 25C (coin example #2885093-013)

1882CN P MEXICO 25C (coin example #2885093-010)

Thanks for your time and consideration to my request.
