I'm with you, I say coins before food, mortgage, car payments, gas or utilities!! Oh believe me, I'm marrying her. We're officially engaged and we've been together since 2008. Basically, we're waiting for a time where her cousin can perform the wedding for us. He can legally officiate weddings in more....how do I say this.....custom ways, which is important to us. We want more of a ceremony than a courthouse wedding, but we're not Christians, so we don't want that kind of wedding, either. And she wants her cousin who lives in Texas to be her best person, so we have to wait until we can get him up here to the Finger Lakes so he can be there as well. We'll get it all together one of these days. In my case, the family thing is super easy. My family is my dad and my sister, and they live about 30 minutes away, so that's not tough. You don't want a big ceremony eating into your coin money! Oh you know it!! It'll just be me, my sister, my dad, her two cousins and maybe her dad and grandmother.....it's tough with her family, though, because her mother is a malignant narcissist and a religious whack-a-doodle. My fiancée has a very bad relationship with her mother, so that whole part of the wedding is very.......complicated. We'll just have a few people and a pizza banquet (we're big pizza folks). It's about as cheap of a wedding as you could imagine and the wedding gifts to each other will be......you guessed it....COINS!!! So coins will be part of the wedding as well! I think the biggest cost will be getting her cousin in Texas up here, but that's totally worth it and vitally important. I actually don't have to worry about that. Her mom has legit, diagnosable Narcissistic Personality Disorder. It's not just an attitude with her mom, it's a real disorder. My fiancée does not have the disorder, so I should be okay. She's 33, so if she had NPD, it would have shown up by now. Edited January 22, 2022 by Mohawk Mr.Bill347 and tj96 2

Popular Post GBrad Posted January 22, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 22, 2022 This joke does mention a "Buffalo" and a "coin" (maybe not coin humor) but I couldn't resist posting it........ It was the days of the Old West when an Indian walks into a cafe with a shotgun in one hand, pulling a male buffalo with the other. He says to the counter guy, "Want coffee." "Coming right up," is the reply, and he gets the Indian a tall mug of coffee. The Indian drinks the coffee down in one gulp, turns and blasts the buffalo with the shotgun, causing parts of the animal to splatter everywhere, tosses down a coin for the coffee, and walks out.... The next morning the Indian returns. He has his shotgun in one hand pulling another male buffalo with the other. He walks up to the counter and says again, "Want coffee." This time the guy is ready. "Whoa there, fella!" he says. "We're still cleaning up your mess from yesterday! What was all that about, anyway?" The Indian smiles and proudly says, "Training for upper management position." Not surprisingly, "Huh?" came the reply. "Yuh," he says. "Come in, drink coffee, shoot the bull, leave mess for others to clean up, disappear for rest of day." And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how modern Management Theory began. RonnieR131, tj96, JT2 and 4 others 1 6

I don't think there will be much suffer ring in our marriage.....provided my MIL keeps her narcissistic self parked in her own house and far away from us. However, if she doesn't, she'll likely get to chat with a nice police officer when my fiancée calls them. And if my MIL thinks my fiancée wouldn't call the cops if her mom got crazy, well, she's in for a shock, let me tell you But seriously, we have a great relationship. I'm very lucky and blessed. Winesteven Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 (edited) Yesterday the NFL announced the description of the coin they’ll be using in this years Super Bowl game for the official coin toss. They will be using historical American figures, so the obverse will have a bust of Teddy Roosevelt, and the reverse will have a bust of Nathan Hale. Do you know why? . . . This way the player making the call is asked by the ref to call Ted’s or Hale’s! Edited January 23, 2022 by Winesteven tj96 and RonnieR131 2
