1904-O Morgan VAM 10 with Die Breaks - New VAM?

6 posts in this topic

This is a 1904-O VAM 10. It has the mark to the lower right of the mint mark and polishing lines through the ribbon on reverse. My coin has some large die cracks that turn into die breaks over the ST in STATES. Do you think they're large enough to get a new VAM sub-designation (like 10A)?

Rob, Thanks. I just got two new VAM discoveries back from Leroy today (21-D and 21-S). I was told the 21-S is the first 21-S VAM with clashed letters.

I'll send this one off to him as well.

ChannelIslands... how's that whale skull doing?

I have a compact Olympus D-40Z digital camera. I hold it up to the eyepiece of a National brand stereo microscope, hold my breath, and shoot a few pictures. If I could afford it, I'd go with the microscope that has a built-in camera attachment and a zoom feature.
