Announcing the official China Mint Panda for the Long Beach Expo!

The China mint in Shanghai has minted Official Panda Commemoratives to be distributed on September 30th, 2021 at the Long Beach Expo.  Due to the pandemic, the 2020 pandas were delayed and will now be sold at the first Long Beach Expo since last year.    It will be the second of the 12 year lunar series.   

There will be a 5oz silver panda (mintage 100) and a 1oz silver panda (minted 280).

The obverse:  Pandas at the temple.  Design by the Shanghai mint.

The reverse:   Long Beach Expo,  Lunar year of the Rat.   Design by Thomas S. Cleveland, former US mint master designer.
