Grading
1 1

You should have been around in the late 1980's. OMG were the TPG slow. I remember getting a package in the mail from ANACS and wondering what the hell they would be sending me. Upon opening it were coins I had forgotten about submitting since it had been so long.

My slowest submission ever took (no joke) over a year.

[Lot of murmering and gnashing of teeth going on.  In the real world, they have "truth-in-pricing."  I don't know why the TPGS cannot adopt a similar approach.  In reality, for those, like me who couldn't care less how long grading takes, telling collectors turn-around times (for applicable tiers) is 21 working days is less meaningful than saying, "It will take over a month -- and that's an estimate to which we will not commit ourselves."  Better to forecast a 90% chance of rain when the actual 20% sprinkle experienced will make folks al ot happier.  I fail to see why NGC fails to see the logic behind this.  Wouldn't you appreciate getting something sooner than expected?]

This is the slowest turn around times I've ever seen. I called them and they said " Sometimes things change." Seriously!

This is the kind of thing that makes people change grading companies...

Once upon a time a dues-paying member was told he would be allowed to speak up after FIVE YEARS of complete silence, minus mandatory Good Time (time off for good behavior).  And guess what he chose to speak about?

Everything you need to know is on that Submission Form, complicated by a virus, sanitizing protocols every step of the way undertaken by demoralized employees working under stressful conditions at understaffed locations.

If anyone is interested, I can give you a written guarantee stating you will receive your order within sixty (60) days, regardless of tier chosen -- but it will not be worth more than the bathroom tissue it will be scrawled on.  😉
