It appears to be a normal coin and not the overdate.

I have to disagree I see the 7 under the 8, so yes I would say send it in.  Even the worse grade of G4 would be worth a few hundred dollars

Just a guess but I think both the op and the fellow you quoted are looking at the middle 8 instead of the last 8.
