Ok Folks

Here's the whole story! Somehow my credit card info became public record to whoever wanted to send me promotional deals, magazines, health ins, you name it, it was arriving in my mailbox and several charges were made to my bank account.

I was able to get these charges credited back with the telephone numbers that accompanied the charges in my bank account. I couldn't trace who let my credit card info out so I ended up closing that bank account and opening another. These companies are in for a surprise when they try to charge my account again! The bank said this is the way they do it and that there would be no overdraft charges to the old account if they try to charge me again and I said let's do it! Heck, someone was trying to charge me for a years' subscription of Men's Fitness magazine! 893whatthe.gif

So the change of accounts took some time and I didn't have any checks and I hadn't receive my new credit card. Using paypal was out of the question and I did consider sending cash. I won the auction on a Sat.and didn't get a check out til Wed. but I have sent Michael an email and a reply with no responses until I saw his post here.

I'm glad the check has arrived and everything is working out ok.

If the coin doesn't exceed my expectations, I may have an 1800 post give away after all. 27_laughing.gif

Leo, I am sorry to hear that someone was trying to rip you off. I hope you realize that I was just having fun and meant no harm. As far as I was concerned, you didn't have to justify anything.

I guess that I should follow up this thread with a picture of the coin. It's an interesting piece with many colors of toning. Not a bad catch for $8.50!
