Picture Taking Suggestions Sought

I just have a Kodak Easy Share CX7330 & printer dock. So far this is the best I've been able to do with photographing my coins:

I had the same camera. Certainly not the best to image coins. I got a few good pix by going outside in the sun and then shooting them there by holding them in my hand. Low success rate but I got a few decent shots of half dollar coins. Then used adobe to crop 'em, etc.

I didn't think this was a great coin camera but otherwise I like what it does in general, but then it is my 1st.

 

I do have the advantage of a fairly bright room to work with. Being in Sunny FL I'm thinking outside light may actually be a little too bright for a shiny silver coin, no?

I use an easy share and I don't believe it was made for coin pics

 

Make sure first you use the close up mode. Then see what kind of fllash or no flash works best. Then take the picture on a black piece of paper or felt. Use halogen lights or something of that nature. I a few hours I wil show you one of my pics using my camera. K

Here are the pics. I still need to improve my lighting to bring out colors correctly but anyway here are the pics better late then never. Sorry for the delay.
