Wlinsenmeyer
I am looking for a more experienced opinion on if I should send this Flying Eagle Cent in for grading. I am not looking to sell it but rather just keep it for my collection. It does appear to be cleaned but I’m not knowledgeable as to how that will affect its grading. I appreciate any input. Zebo
I wouldn't send it in, but I'll leave it to others to expand on my opinion or refute it. Edited October 1, 2020 by Zebo Wlinsenmeyer
Member: Seasoned Veteran DWLange Posted October 1, 2020 Member: Seasoned Veteran Share Posted October 1, 2020 It would be details graded for either cleaning or environmental damage, so probably best left raw. bsshog40 and Wlinsenmeyer
Coinbuf
It would cost you more to have it graded than it will be worth after grading, enjoy the coin for what it is, as it is. Wlinsenmeyer
James_OldeTowne
Definitely not a practical candidate for certification. Wlinsenmeyer
Henri Charriere
[I would be curious to know what grade you believe it to be and your estimate of what you believe it would cost to have it graded by the TPGS of your choice.]
