is this toning on this 1968 penny with toning 0

Is the toning considered enhancing or detracting. what grade if any would they be.

In this case the toning is rather ordinary. There are probably millions of other toned cents similar out there.

Grade shouldn't matter because unless it is a high MS, its only value is in the copper.

As a Lincoln collector I would find it unattractive and wouldn't give it a second look, but you never know there might be that one guy.  As to grade the photos not very sharp so I cannot tell if the coin exhibits wear for sure or not maybe AU55 as the lower jaw line seems to have some wear.  If you can get a $1 for take it and run.

The penny has a lot of dark toning but doesn't seem to have scratches or nick .. but i will put it up for .99 cent. one man junk is other man treasure.
