To slab or not to slab?

I would say no. If the slab approaches the value of the coin then, generally speaking, I wouldn't feel that it would be financially worth the trouble. JMHO.

Not unless you need a 5th coin to meet the minimum submission for an Economy grading.

That is all I am doing is putting a submission together and had some that I knew would be alright but just thought about sending this one as well and wanted an opinion before I did. Thanks for your input. flowerred.gif893applaud-thumb.gifflowerred.gif893applaud-thumb.gif

The only possible reason I might consider slabbing would be if it were a VAM 4, but I can't tell from the photo if the "1" and "7" are doubled.

I was in the same boat recently. The place "across the street" had a special offer to grade 1 of a few select coins for free with only return postage being charged. I opted for a Peace Dollar in about the same condition (slightly better) because I figured for under $12 why not? confused-smiley-013.gif
