Relevant to the patterns mentioned, here are Eastman Johnson's three coin designs. The illustrations are his drawings, not photos of pattern pieces. (I'm planning a short article about these for publication in the near future.)

Yes, the five patterns belong to one of the great-grandsons of Charles E. Barber.  Barber's daughter Edith sold most of the large and renown pattern collection after his death (in February 1917), but kept five of them and eventually gave them to her first grandchild.  

They will be on display at the booth of the Barber Coin Collectors' Society at the Whitman Baltimore Expo from March 19-21 (table# not yet finalized), and will be the subject of the educational program at the meeting of the BCCS at 3:00 p.m. on Friday March 20 in Room 301.  The meeting is open to all.  Please join us!
