Can some one tell me if this is a error on a certain year coin? 0

I've recently started collecting and I found this penny, its driving me crazy not knowing what round about year it is. Thank you for any and all help

Normally it would be important to get them right side up, but in this case it's not germane because at any alignment they depict a Zincoln that has lost some copper plating and is badly corroded. Not certain the date can be determined but quite certain that the date doesn't matter.

Not an error, just badly corroded from zinc rot.

As far as the date goes, it is somewhere between 1982  and 2008. No way of defining it any closer.

To narrow it down a bit more: it was minted between 1992 and 2008.

Your right Just Bob. Never even looked at the CAM which didn't  come into existence until 1992
