I was looking on VAM world but couldn't find this. Is it machined or a real D.D?

While it may appear to be just strike doubling, it actually is a doubled-die. It's among the many 7/8TF varieties listed and illustrated here:

Yeah its doubled along with "R" that you can see, there are more doubled letters

What I see it looks like a VAM-38

That's it! matched all marks. Awesome. thank you guys very much. must not be too rare of a vam. every 1878 I have is also a vam 38. exact same marks and doubling.

Yeah there are around 500 certified at NGC in VAM-38
