I've always admire some of the foreign coins which he often offers on e-bay. They nearly always have excellent eye-appeal.

 

This is a cute little, tiny coin which I just acquired from him:

 

1896 Guatemalan 1/4 Real

 

I like the coin because of the fact that my daughter is half Guatemalan and that the volcanoes resemble the early Filipino coinage.

 

How cool is that obverse design?! The sun is also very interesting. I personally think that this coin is probably very unique in its design.

Guatemala has a long history of interesting coins. Spanish Colonial, Central American Republic, and the independent stuff in both real and decimal systems. If this one piques your fancy it may be worth looking into the rest. thumbsup2.gif
