Notice how the top of the "0" is higher than the top of the "7," and the upper curl of the "9" points below the "7?" Those are signs that they are large date.

Nope.  All Large Dates.  The 1970-S Small Date has a very distinctively shaped numeral 9.  That's the best and easiest diagnostic to use on these and it works well for both business strikes and proofs.  I sell the things frequently, so I'm well acquainted with the 1970-S Small Date.  This site has side by side pictures:
