Perfect timing.  I came across a few Ike's, Kennedy's, and a quarter with that same mark on them (usually more than 3 in length) while going through 40+ mint sets this weekend.  Wasn't sure if it fell under the reed hit, strikethrough, or cello crimping damage from the packaging process so good to know reed hit is the likely issue.
