1968 Chile 10 Pesos Arrival of the Liberation Fleet varieties

These two 1968 Chile 10 Pesos Escuadra Libertadora have different typeface widths.

Does the difference in typeface represent a separate variety?

The narrow lettered raw coin weighs 44.30 gm, a variance of -0.70 gm; has a few scuffs and dents.

The NGC graded coin has a slight patina.

Rotation of the obverse versus the reverse is the same; placement of relief features appears to be proportional.

Otherwise, I can't tell the difference.

Can you check alignment of the letters to a/the denticles, sometimes there is a slight difference for determining that's hard to see...I only say this cuz I was just trying to check some 1970 ? I think Canadian Quarters for the denticle count small at 160 vs. large at 140 count and the reference suggested lining the letters up (like drawing a straight line towards the edge from the letter) and count if it encompasses 2 denticles or 3...for large or small letters...if I remember correctly???

I count 146 dots around the legends of either side on either coin. 

Each irregularity in the placement of dots on one coin duplicates the irregularity in placement on the other coin.

Just the typeface of the legend appears narrower to me than that of the graded coin.

Can't distinguish any differences in the design of image features.

Boy, they clearly are a different type face. I would have to agree with you on a 'variety'.....
