Is this a double die?

Impossible to tell from the picture. Looks like machine doubling. Is the doubled letters the same height as the rest of the letters or lower and flatish?

 

What coin is it?

This is an Ike dollar from a silver unc set 1976. The doubling looks like a line running down the side of the letter then dropping off into the field. Almost like an offset.
