I need some values on a couple of proof sets

10 posts in this topic

Does anybody have a price on a 1963 austrian proof set?

Also I need the price on a 1955 eastern carribean territories proof set. link to carribian proof set oh yes I won it!

MWC13, I can give you the individual values from the Krause book if you would like them, but I would need the denominations of the '63 Austrian set. I'm confused about the '55 ECT Proof Set. In the item description, the seller states, "they are all uncirculated."

Which is it? Proof or Uncirculated?

2 Groschen, 5 Groschen, 10 Groschen, 50 Groschen and 1 Schilling. These Austrian coins are enclosed in the original cellophane sheet. Please note that even though the coins came packaged together from the mint, the 2 Groschen coin is marked 1962, while the others are all dated 1963.

According to the "Krause", those are the numbers. I can't vouch for their accuracy. Are you sure they are proof sets?

I have a lot of U.S. Proof Sets and it's not unusual for the cumulative value of individual coins to exceed the value of the set. Maybe one day I'll get around to cracking some of them. I know I should, anyway, because the risk of contamination in the Mint holders is worrisome.

It appears that you got a great deal. thumbsup2.gif
