Do you remember that dipped and slabbed 1936 Walking Liberty half from this thread ? The transaction has already completed, and I got feedback on it. Here's what the bidder stated:

What a dipped out coin! Just as seller advertised. A++!! Fast, too!

I just found it a bit humorous!

James, There is something that sometimes people just cannot explain. The only way to really "look" at an Ebay coin is to buy it. Maybe the guy just wanted to see it in hand? Actually, I would have liked to have seen it but not enough to buy it. But I once bought a dipped 1918 D Walker in XF45 on a buy--it --now. No hairlines. It looked soooo good that I bought it just to actually see it. Spent 60 bucks I think. In reality, the coin was actually quite nice. It does what I want it to do----shows people what a coin looks like that has been dipped but not overly abused. It is an "educational" tool. A lot of TPG would slab it as "uncleaned". Your coin could be that educational coin? Just a thought. Bob [supertooth]
