I had an offer to buy at $1400. I felt that it was a fair offer and sold it ! I am still awaiting payment but, the buyer is a regular to the eBay coin auction arena.

Meaning I recognized his ID and he has excellent feedbacks and around 400 or so. Many of which were items well within the same price range. So his offer seemed to be legit and I accepted. But if payment is not received soon I will relist.

Ditto to Goose's comment. The 55/55 is the only coin that interests me and is the only error coin the appeals to me. Could you post a photo anyway on this thread?

p.s. Although it's crazy money, the market does substantiate the $1400 price tag.

I had another 55 D.D.O au-58 on my eBay watch list. It was for a live auction that ended yesterday 4-23-05. That coin sold for $1500 + 20% buyers fee + S/H/I, for a total of $1800+. So I think $1400 was a fair price for the buyer as well as myself.
