No. There are a couple with doubled numbers in the date but that is about all there is...

You might have discovered a new variety!!!

How would I go about doing that?

The coin is raw now, so getting it certified is probably a good idea. But, who should look at the coin initially to determine if it is a variety?

Thanks for your help,

Joel

Contact:

Leroy Van Allen

E-mail: vams@bright.net

Leroy charges $5 per coin to attribute known varieties but no charge for possible new varieties. He requests that a check be included with coins to cover return postage & insurance costs. NGC & ANACS will designate existing varieties. New varieties have to be listed by Leroy.

I would suggest that you contact him, first, by e-mail to advise him of your "possible find" and ensure that he will be available to examine it.

BankNote1,

Most likely a VAM 2 (revisedin 2001)

Slightly doubled upper leaves of right and left wreaths towards rim, bottom inside of STATES OF AMERICA towards rim and tops of In God We Trust towards rim. Thin line die scratch from olive branch to leaves just above arrow feathers.

However, this coin also exhibits doubling of UNITED.
