The "7" in the date of this 1871 Indian head cent appears to have an extra "flag":

This 1924-D Buffalo already resides proudly in my Whitman album:

Check out the rim cuds on the lower reverse of this 1900 V-nick!

This 1836 Bust quarter is a "common" variety, B-3, but it is die-state 6, the terminal die state. Note the shattered obverse and reverse dies, with numerous die-cracks on both sides. Besides that, the coin displays AWESOME original color, front and back, and it even has much of the reverse cartwheel luster remaining! I grade it VF-35, and overpaid for it to boot.

Thank you NGC for grading this common-date Buffalo nickel conservatively! Although they called in only MS-63, the rings of rainbow toning on the reverse are gorgeous. There's a bit of rainbow color on the obverse as well. I love cherry-picking coins like this! And it was cheap!!

Totally awesome, bombastic neon-bright rainbow toning lights up the obverse of this 1822 bust half, and gobs of rainbow color appear on the reverse as well. NGC called it AU-58, which is a touch too high. After I crack it out, I'll carry it in inventory as AU-55. But does it really matter? The crankin' color jsut JUMPS off this coin! It's an interstellar, extraterrestrial beauty at any angle, and it just about cost me as much as a round-trip ticket to Mars!

This is the only so-called dollar I collect, and I'm slowly building a small hoard of them. They are CHEAP - I paid just $15 for this coin!

James, some excellent coins there. I especially like those rim toned early Bust halves.

Regarding your So-Called dollar: I have one of those in silver, graded by NGC as FN12. They are a cool looking design and even hold up well heavily circulated!

Wow so many goodies!!.

If you forced to me to pick a favorite it would be the 1836 25c. I love the die cracks. SWEET. 893applaud-thumb.gif

Exceptional!!! What a haul! 893applaud-thumb.gif

That 24-D buff is awesome. Perfect album piece. Obviously a coin that was well struck, which is rare for the issue. Lots of remaining detail.

Very interesting 1900 Lib nick. Is that a rim break? I can't really tell what the rim thickening is, so can you describe?

Never seen a bust quarter look like that. Most i see are worn nearly flat, gunmetal gray with overly contrasting devices from the last time they were cleaned. Very nice.

The 1822 bust half is fantastic. Sure there's not a pot of gold hidden somewhere under those rainbows? wink.gif

Oops - actually, only a few of these coins are from KC. The rest are just additional coins I've acquired over the past couple of months. Surprisingly, most are just from local little shows and such! Thanks!

I like the 1925 Unc Buffalo decent strike, imo. The 1924-D Buff would also be a nice coin but it looks like someone tried to add the tail!

That's okay, they're all gorgeous! I feel like a kid in a candy shop. I hope you didn't forget to put me in your will.

I am curious about one thing. Where did you take the pic of the 88 Morgan? There is a reflection of vertical lines(?) on the reverse between "STA" and "IN GOD". It can't be a prison uniform......they don't wear stripes anymore. What is it?

Guess what - it's a PCGS fingerprint! Yeah, I was aware of the prints being there when I bought the coin, but it was still relatively cheap, and I'm going to put it on eBay soon.

Michael, 'yes' to your question. I love this variety, and PCGS gave it an F-15.

You mean they didn't charge extra for their "autograph"?

That's one heck of a haul! I especially like the 1871 IHC and the 1836 quarter, depending on how much light was used to obtain the image.
