How come DHRC is an authorized dealer if they don't submit coins to PCGS?

"I have owned David Hall Rare Coins, a botique dealership specializing in very high end rare coins, since 1977. I really not a grader at PCGS, but I do render my opinion whenever asked. I have the same anti-self interest rules as everyone else, but I take it a little farther. David Hall Rare Coins does not submitt coins it owns to PCGS for grading, so there's never a question about conflict of onterest...we just don't use the service."

Sounds like they'll submit client's coins.... kindof like Heritage submitting client's coins to NGC.

Don't a couple of the head NGC people have there hand at Heritage? Also is it me or is that a LARGE 893whatthe.gif conflict of intrest 893scratchchin-thumb.gifThe fact David Hall owns a company that both submits coins to PCGS and only sells PCGS coins? That disturbs me deeply. frustrated.gif

Personally I think if you work at a grading company I don't care who you are you should NOT deal in coins.I don't care if it is a grader to the president to the guys in the recieving department.Sorry for the plug here I know it is not good to say this on an NGC board but this is one of the reasons why I like ICG.Ok end of sign-rantpost.gif

"conflict of intrest"

You really would be amazed at what goes on behind the scenes in the coin industry. It's not a hobby, it's big business.

What's to stop someone from handing coins to his janitor and having the janitor submit them?

The janitor's hands are dirty....obviously.
