The Roettier family I dont know their nationality), which did a lot of the work in the last half of the seventeenth century, I think were gone by this time and although I am not sure I think this may have been done by John Croker. The French engravers such as Briot and Blondeau were earlier.

And there were French engravers employed by Boulton and Watt later in the 18th century such as Droz who did some trial work in the late part of that century.

There were also other great foreign engravers such as Benedetto Pistrucci whose designs weer used for centuries after the Napoleonic Wars. He came up with the classic design of St George slaying the dragon, used on the crown and many gold pieces.
