Hello all

Just joined the board. I've been collecting for about 5 years. I am currently working on my type set, classic commemorative and early Washington proof. My taste in this hobby is collecting coins with the most eye appeal, eye appeal and eye appeal. There seems to be some good people on this board and I hope to learn some more from you all.

Nhan,

Welcome to our friendly little community! I have a Washington quarter collection nearing completion, in basically MS-65 and better. In addition, I'm collecting the silver proofs from 1936 - 1964, and am lacking only the first four from the 1930s, so hopefully we'll have opportunities to discuss these difficult coins from time to time!

Thanks James and John for a warm welcome

James, I only collect Washington Proof (36-42) and I still have quite a way to finish this set. It's hard to find coins within these years with high grade and high level of eye appeal so I am taking my time waiting for the right one come on the market.

John, I like both of your sets Buff & Commemorative. I can see you have quite collection there, you must be working hard finding these wonderful coins for your sets. I love the Pan Pac that you have, it's a Moose. The Norfolk is also wonderful, I own this coin once before and I do miss it dearly. I am glad it found a good home.

Do you have any images, even scans, of some of your beauties? You may want to start a thread about a denomination or series and see if anyone else has anything of interest. thumbsup2.gif

Nhan,

Thanks so much for your kind words about my sets.

Wow! So you used to own the Norfolk in my early commem set! I adore that coin and can understand how you would miss it. Yeah, that Pan Pac really is a looker isn’t she? Hey, did you happen to take a look at my 1935s Arkansas? If so let me know what you think of it.
