NO LONGER AVAILABLE (Rare and Top Census Silver Dollars and more)

8 posts in this topic

Although I have not been active on message boards in quite some time, many collectors and dealers may know me. I have set up at major shows as Select Rarities ( website ) and have handled some of the finest and rarest Morgan silver dollars, particularly the rarest prooflikes and premium VAMs, I have many still inventoried and like to see them make their way into the finest sets as well as those trying to build quality coin collections.

Below is a list of some of the many outstanding silver dollars I have for sale. You can find them on my website and I can add images here or in private correspondence if that is useful. I can negotiate on coins, individually or as package deals. I specified the VAM for each. If it is in brackets, then the variety adds no particular premium in my judgment. AOH means it is attributed on the holder.

I have thousands more, many on my website.

Outside the silver dollars, I have an extremely rare Fugio cent. It is the KN-4E variety in NGC AU58BN. These have very few rare appearances and generally in low grades with problems.

Any interest in these or other coins I have or might have, you can contact me through my website form, here, at VAMworld, at the SSDC Registry (which I built and run), or my email if you have it.

I am John Coxe, owner of Select Rarities in San Diego (business since 2004 - no brick and mortar, online and coin shows instead - and not as a licensed business since the early '90s). I was in the NGC Registry when it started and got the first Best Presented Set Award for the PL/DMPL set. Lifetime member and on the Board for the Society of Silver Dollar Collectors (SSDC), Associate Life Member of the National Silver Dollar Roundtable. ANA member. Never joined PNG though. Didn't do the About Us page at our website yet, same with taking the gazillion photos. Mainly photographed the bigger coins and others on demand. Many people int he silver dollar community, particularly VAM and DMPL collectors, know me at some level or another. I have many, many variety discoveries with Leroy Van Allen. So not a new guy on the block. I used to do the message boards but just got too busy to stay engaged in that. I can get references who will vouch for me as a seller and for my Morgan dollar variety understanding, in particular. The rest of "us" is my wife, Gail, who has been diligently accompanying me to set up at major shows for the past couple years.

I am sure it is not MS64. Thanks! Will check the grade typo. I am certain it is circulated. Probably an XF.

I have done business with John Coxe and can vouch for him, a good guy from whom I bought a couple of really rare coins. Good transactions all the way around.

Thanks, George! I ended up consigning my big coins to Goldberg's for their September Per-Long Beach Sale. Still have thousands of nice certified coins. I'll open a new post for those, since man or all of the ones in this one are not available presently (in auction or sold now).
