Standing Liberty Quarter die gouge new picture

I have a Standing Liberty Quarter 1926 NGC MS-66, on the reverse there is a spike where there was an obvious die gouge, this is between the second and third star to the right of the Eagle. does anyone have any information on this?

Hard to tell from the picture. If you can see grind markings within the gouge then it would be a gouge if not then it is probably a die crack.

Walt, that appears to be a common die-scratch.
