Anyone interested in joining a forum(message board) on Civil War tokens?!?!?

7 posts in this topic

I'm in the works of creating a Civil War token(cwt) forum, or message board. This smaller forum will deal with the dissucsion of cwts on all levels; types, die sinkers, grades, errors, rarities, values, attribution, advertising, historical info, comments, and the a like. I hope there are some interested in joining this forum. I would be nice if we could get fifty or so collectors to join. Even if you're not a cwt collector and would just be interested, please let me know. If you have any suggesions or ideas for the forum let me know, either by PM or replying to this thread. If you are interested in joining, do the same, so I can get a rough number of how many of you will be into this. Hopefully it will help aid in the enjoyment of this sub-genre of the coin collecting hobby. I will also have probably an area for non-cwt tokens too. Let me know what you think of my idea, even though i'm almost done with it. BTW, this is the first time i'm telling anyone about it.

count me in like Flynn.

You need to submit something to the CWTS if you haven't already done so to get it in the next booklet.

I would definitely be interseted in such a forum. Don't know what, if anything, I might contribute, but learning about these tokens would be gret fun!

Of course, any posts about CWTs are always welcome here! yay.gif

I'm going to try to get it in as soon as i've got everything done with the site. If all goes well it should be up late Monday, but I could get it earlier. laugh.gif

In the meantime, email Ernie Latter and Bret Palser and see if they would be willing to forward your email on to their contacts.

Also, you could start a dummy auction on ebay under CWT's and title it something like "JOIN THE NEW CWT FORUM!!!!" etc....once you get it up and running.

I'm thinking about including other tokens as well in a section of the forum. But so far i've got the categories of General Disscusion, Patriotics, Storecards, and Misc. Within each has a few different forums that make it a little more specific. But I was also thinking that maybe I could make it for all kinds of tokens, that way i'd get more members to join and we'd have more activity on the boards. That's an idea i'm still thinking about.
