This coin looks like an example of FS-019.1, and looks better defined than the illustration in the Cherrypicker's guide. They report it as "rare" with the one in the CP guide as "possibly unique," which only means that it has not been extensively looked for. The CP guide places a value of $25 on it in MS63.

Thanks Hoot guess its not a really rare one or maybe not a real desireable type, was hoping it was as good as the CU price list but guess thats a better D/D, it has a big price tag! HMMM thought I had a rare one oh well, maybe next time. Mike

I've found these difficult to sell for much of a premium. They are actually very common, in my opinion. I remember the first couple of times that I found a D/D, I thought I was on to something rare - until it came time to sell them.

What variety and how rare is this D?D cent? MIKE

Sorry, but that looks like die deteriorartion doubling, same on the numbers above it. That's the same kind of doubling as the 1955 "Poorman's doubled die". The mintmark postition is too far east to be RPM#13 (FS019.1) even if it wasn't deterioration doubling. These shouldn't be any more valuable than a normal cent.
