NNC Grading ???????

What`s the scoop on a grading service called NNC ? Ebay seems to be over run with coins slabbed by this service. Any opinions on how conservative their grading practices are ? Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with them.

Great...another of the long list of "alphabet soup" grading services...just what we need.

My advice: Pretty simple, treat coins graded by them as RAW...at least for now.

Send every coin you own to them.

Every coin from NNC that is listed on EBay is graded "MS70" or "PR70DCAM" which makes me a little suspicious.

I've always wished I could get a lot of proof 70s! 893applaud-thumb.gif

I think it's SGS that does this. I've seen NNC coins on ebay with a variety of grades. I can't speak to their accuracy since I've never seen one in hand.

I recently pruchased an 1898-s Morgan in MS63-PL in an NNC holder. IMO if I sent it to NGC/PCGS chances are 50/50 it would be downgraded to MS61/62. The surfaces are reflective but its a close call on the PL. Just my two cents.
