HEY! This eBay auction references the 1916 quarter I picked up at FUN!!!!!!

It's an auction by iras4 for an AU-58 (PCGS) 1916 quarter, and he states: "At the recent Heritage auction on Jan. 11 at the FUN show, an ANACS slabbed cleaned and whizzed AU details, Net EF-40 1916 Standing Lib sold for $9315. Is this problem free AU-58 not worthy of consideration". That's the coin I bought, the whizzed one I posted in another thread!

 

Just thought it was interesting....

I cannot believe how much those 16 quarters have skyrocketed in price like many key dates.

 

 

I HAD a PCGS VF35 one a few years ago. foreheadslap.gif

At the coin club meeting last night, I spoke at length with a gentleman (who by the way purchased four coins), and he paid just $8500 for his MS-63 FH 1916! It's a PCGS rattler, too. Of course, that was just a few years ago. I paid $800 MORE for my client's XF!
