to get one of the members going nuts - we know who you are

Clearly, he is speaking moi. Therefore, how much do you want for it? 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

The coin is technically AU but NGC seems to market grade these. I have a few myself.

BUT...again...how much you want for the piece? devil.gif

Hmm...Margulies disagrees. Well, look at the Buffalo's upper hip. It's flat! Of course, I won't know exactly unless I see it in person.

Yep, but all the other high points look unc. Therefore, it's likely unc!

There MUST be a reason it's in a MS61 holder....market grading an AU as MS is a possible answer. confused-smiley-013.gif

Yep, but sadysta1 thought MS62, so it probably has a lot of marks. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif Market graded AU58 coins usually end up in MS62 slabs. MS61 seems to be favored for cleaned coins. MS60 for beat to hell coins.

Uh...oh.

BTW, your above quote isn't quite right. If it's PCGS then MS63 works. 893whatthe.gif

I didn't get to see this one in person. Sure looks pretty though.

The weak strike will account heavily for the grade, and the luster could be muted to heck as well limiting the grade. Lots of woulda, coulda, shoulda as to why it's only a 61, but until we can seel the coin in person, we'll have to wait for Thomasz to tell us. smile.gif

I don't know how in the world you can see wear through the toning and weakly struck devices from the pic's jom. You must have that new magnified computer screen. smile.gif

Top of the hip of the Buffalo. It's flat. That's the first place it shows....usually.

But, again, you have to see it to really know.
