Commems from the great state of Texas - these are GEM GEM GEM coins! Fresh out of their cellophane envelopes:

Closeups of one of the Texas commems - WOW, can you say MS-67 BABYYYYY?!?!? Don't be fooled by what looks like "hairlines" in the image - those are merely die-polish marks - these coins are as hairline free as KOJAK!

TRULY FRESH COINS, off the market for FIFTY YEARS!!! YUM YUM Check out how these coins were stored! They sure don't make slabs like this any more 893whatthe.gif!

How's about some Washington quarters? Some were in cello, but most were just stuck in the 2x2 paper envelopes, but AAAALLLLL of these coins are totally CHOICE UNC, and a few picked up some nice sulphur toning:

Here's a couple of the Mercs, and these ain't even the NICE ones:

Only a couple of the nickels were NOT NCS-curated, including the 1912-D, which was in an NGC MS-64 holder. The coin now rests proudly in my Dansco:

Like I said in the other thread, the weird thing is that the CIRCULATED silver fared the worst of all the coins in paper. Check out some of the "black-eye" Mercs in here! I probably picked up the equivalent of about half a roll of early Merc's that are practically coal black. But many others were really nice, orignal circulated coins.

I'll try and post some more images later, but this week is pretty full for me. I have a major appraisal (large cents) coming up, and am also getting ready for the big show in St. Louis. Sorry these images are not the best, but they'll give you some idea of the good stuff that can still be had out there. ENJOY!!!!!

Braddick, those are my grades blush.gif. I only relabeled a few of the envelopes as examples for the Board members.

Most of the envelopes were ungraded, and those that were graded were EXTREMELY conservative, almost to the point of being nonsense. For example, one of the Barbers was stated as "VG", and it's a borderline XF coin! Many of the "UNCs" are easily MS-64 or better.
