Wonder why no one bid on this?

There are several reasons, not the least of which is the lousy pictures! But even more importantly, this seller realizes the value of these coins (should they be the real thing) and the obvious step to have them certified thru a dealer or himself would have made it legit.

 

I smell a fraud in this auction. Zero feedback and no return policy makes it even more aromatic!!

Undoubtedly a counterfeit. Many were made and they surface from time to time with very disappointed owners.

at that time were struck in zinc-coated steel because copper was needed for the Allied war effort.

 

All steel materials at the time were used to fund an on going war,
