A jefferson I got at today's coin show

Just an insanely pretty coin! MS67. Can never tell what the step count is from a scan, nor whether it's the reverse of 38 or 40. But, given the detail and sharpness of detail on Monticello, plus the look of the center doorway, I'd guess reverse of 40 (either that or an insanely sharp reverse of 38). Soooooooooo, WHAT IS IT??? WHY ISN"T IT MINE???????

Hi Hoot!

I think it'll MS67 too. I bought it raw this weekend at a coin show in Iowa. It was sitting there in a guys case surrounded by a plethora of other coins, mostly junk actually. I'm surprised I actually noted it at first because it was halfway covered up by some paper money the guy had as well. It was in an absolutely ancient cardboard 2x2 with rusty staples. The date was written on the cardboard with a fountain pen whose ink had faded. It had to have been stashed somewhere for years. It had no price on it, so I asked the guy what he would sell it for and he said "I dunno - how about 30 bucks." So I bought it for 30 bucks. Definately a nice pick! It isn't FS but it's still pretty nice!
