Hey JJ or Greg, got anymore clumps with a bit of detail?

Mine also need work. I haven't been able to find light unfiltered olive oil which has been holding me up.

Our local coin dealer offered Shiroh $5 for one of his clumps of dirt! 893whatthe.gif

I took a group of 15 silver Crusaders I've had in olive oil for about 4 or 5 months now out of the oil. Rinsed them off with warm water and soap. I was surprised at how much crud was removed. I gently scrubbed one with a toothbrush, but I don't think I'll do that again. I'll just pat them dry from now on. I put them all back into olive oil, and I figure in 3 months, they will be as good as they are going to get. Some of the legends are now readable that weren't before.

The first batch I put them in was the extra virgin. I read, I believe it was Hoot's post, that said don't use virgin or extra virgin, so the batch they are in now are 100% pure, regular, olive oil.

I'll take another look. I've only tried the fancy-schmancy supermarkets so far and found just the good stuff. Maybe the crummy supermarkets will have it, but if not I'll take up your offer. thumbsup2.gif
